Hand-Woven Yak Wool - Jacket
HANDWOVEN
NO. OF HOURS INVOLVED: 14-16
With its distinct halves representing two different cultures, this jacket is a captivating blend of heritage. The upper portion is meticulously handwoven using two different colors of thread, each hand-dyed by local artisans from Fatehpur. In contrast, the lower half embodies the essence of Kashmir with yak wool fabric, skillfully handcrafted by generations of artisans from the region.
The intricate process is integral to this creation, as it takes at least a month for a single artisan to produce 2 meters of yak wool fabric, which is then transformed into this exquisite work of art. Furthermore, the uniqueness of each piece in this collection highlights the design's individuality, ensuring that no two jackets are alike.
